Frequently Asked Questions
-Why do you put the same models you did for TFQ, that come with the mod when you download it, here for seperate download?
I can give two prime examples to answer this right off
First, In the last release you'll notice Dung's icon's are nothing but pictures of Starscream, this is not how the character was sent for inclusion. He had his own icons both when I released him to the public and when sent in for inclusion in the mod. What happened along the way is anyone's guess and I point no fingers, but something happened.
The second thing is the Beep and Vibrate models, these guys DO actually have a few animation sets that are totally different from one another. They were created as seperate models and meant to be so for a reason, I would never do anything as stupid as have the same model in two folders only using skins to make a difference. Yet someone took the liberty of making a Vibrate folder and moving Beep's skin in there for the release of TFQ to cut them down to a single model. Once again I can point no fingers and give no blame, I truly don't know who compiled the stuff once it was sent in and I can imagine it was quite a chore to organize it all, some things were bound to wind up in the wrong spot or get condensed to try to cut down the download size.
So I guess my answer is simply artistic integrity and "seeing the vision through" the way it was meant to be. What you're getting here is the models as I (the author) meant them for public consumption, instead of recieving them in the most download friendly form or in a pre-release form that was included by accident. This is the shit how it was meant to be
There's also the fact that TFQ vweap's were added for most of the models after release :)
-Are you ever gonna finish any of the models in your previews section? Come on man, some of that stuff is old!
I named that section Previews and not "Coming Soon" for a reason....
Some of the stuff I will finish, some will probably just rot. Lack of interest from myself as well as others has a way of making some projects die rather quickly. Strong responses may give me more interest in finishing certain projects.
I'd really love to say I'd see everything I ever toyed with through to full completion, but let's face it, TFQ is a dead mod, we went through a few coders that did amazing work but got bored too quickly and broke contact with us, there was no way for it to get where we wanted it. So until a magic coder fairy pops outta thin air and tells me he's making my dream mod come true and awaits my input on design, this is just stuff I do in my spare time.. what little I can spare.
